Making our food supply chain more sustainable is one of the largest challenges of our time. We are a young, international, and rapidly growing team of 40 people passionate about making a positive impact and creating the largest agricultural network in the world. We do this by building solutions for the entire food supply chain. We empower buyers and producers of agricultural products by offering insight into the sustainability and food safety aspects of their products, and by enabling super simple compliance with market requirements. 

About the position

As our Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping our marketing strategies to drive growth and expand our impact. This role offers a unique opportunity to set the foundation of our marketing team and make a significant impact within our organization. The main focus for this role will be to develop and implement creative growth strategies aligned with our company’s objectives, while managing your own budget. Our Marketing manager will also be responsible for the first steps of growth and managing other team members. Experience in leadership is not a must but a plus, though the desire to guide a team in the future is a must as we will be expanding. This role will directly require the guidance of a junior growth marketer.


We are looking for someone with strong market understanding (B2B marketing as well as growth hacking) and the ability to overcome marketing challenges with innovative solutions.


What you will be doing

Your main focus will be to identify and hack the right channels for growth. We are looking for a pioneer and a builder which enjoys having ownership, is results driven and has a growth mindset. Based on our experience thus far, there will be a large focus on content marketing, Linkedin, e-mail and event marketing. You will analyse data and KPI’s to drive decision-making, conduct A/B tests and optimize campaign performance. You’ll focus on creating compelling, high quality B2B content (including blog posts, case studies, white papers and social media and e-mail campaign materials), while collaborating across functions with sales, product and customer success teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives. You will also make an impact by:

  • Strategic Planning: building and communicating a comprehensive growth marketing strategy, heartbeat, and growth muscles to help Agriplace achieve its revenue goals
  • Customer Acquisition: Taking ownership for our customer acquisition channels - ABM, SEO, through-partner marketing and offline marketing; build CAC, MRR, LTV.
  • Have Customers at the heart of it: Work closely with our customers to build a joint value proposition, recommendation and case studies.
  • Brand Strategy: Evolving the company’s brand identity. This includes defining the brand’s mission, vision, values, and unique selling propositions (USPs). Collaboration with the design team to ensure that all marketing materials align with the brand’s visual identity and messaging.
  • Lead the improvements to our website and contribute to improvements in product marketing.
  • Overseeing marketing budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximizing ROI. 
  • Content marketing through collaboration with sustainability and compliance experts to drive new customers to our website and engage existing.

Job requirements

What you bring to the table

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in growth marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS, with a track record of successful campaign execution;
  • Experience in startup or scale-up environments, thriving in ambiguity and demonstrating self-direction; 
  • Technical proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, with strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making; 
  • Excellent communication abilities, capable of crafting messages for various audiences and articulating strategies to stakeholders; 
  • A proactive approach to strategic marketing, with the ability to guide and potentially coach team members. 

Location: 

This full-time role is based in Amsterdam and may require relocation for those outside the Netherlands.
