Agriplace is a quickly growing software company based in Amsterdam that is committed to creating safe and sustainable supply chains. We achieve this by building solutions for the entire food supply chain. Firstly, we facilitate buyers of agricultural products by offering insight into the sustainability and food safety aspects of their suppliers. Secondly, we empower farmers to gain compliance certifications easily and at a lower cost.

By making these processes simpler and more insightful, we are helping buyers' source more sustainably, and enabling farmers to produce safely and responsibly, this improves farmers' lives around the world by allowing them to sell more for a higher price.

We have a young, international, and rapidly growing team of 34 people passionate about making a positive impact and creating the largest agricultural network in the world. We already manage €20 billion in agricultural goods and have customers in over 16 countries.

About the Position
To keep up with our current pace of growth we are looking for a passionate Sales Manager who is looking for a position where they can develop themselves further. As we are a young and growing organization there is a lot of room to grow and learn together with us.

For this full time position, we are looking for an ambitious professional starting in April or May 2023 (starting date is flexible).


What will you do?

Leading our sales team

  • Lead our team of AEs & SDRs to drive continuous sales growth and employee satisfaction.
  • Setting quarterly and annual sales goals and motivating the sales teams to achieve their goals.
  • Enable the sales team members to advance on a personal and professional level.
  • Drive and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the Agriplace customer base and ensure it’s strong market presence.
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of the whole sales team.
  • Foster a vibrant sales culture in line with our cultural values.

Growing our team

  • Hiring the right people for the team according to skill and behavior gaps.
  • Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them.

Lead by example

  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Maintain and advance a strong pipeline of strategic and high priority deals (incl. retail and global group deals).
  • Represent Agriplace on conferences, fairs and other networking events.

Job requirements

About you

  • 3-6 years of experience in sales
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead a team to meet sales goals
  • Experience setting clear sales goals and expectations
  • Ability to analyze complex situations with a strategic approach
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Stellar organization and time management skills
  • Solid understanding of  SaaS or B2B sales (knowledge of the agri/food industry is a plus)
  • Comfortable with rapid business growth and increasing professional responsibility
  • High-level of empathy
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate
  • Strong in motivating and enabling people you work with
